Oval Village
The shape of things to come

Overview

While working at Placebrand, I had the opportunity to shape the visual identity for Oval Village, a new residential and commercial district next to London’s Oval cricket ground. The development draws on the site’s industrial heritage while creating a modern, green environment.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a brand that reflected the site’s industrial heritage while communicating its forward-looking ambitions and unifying residential, commercial, and public spaces. I needed to create visuals that would help people see Oval Village not just as a development, but as a place shaped for living and thriving.

Solution

I designed an iconographic language and visual style applied across social media, print and digital advertising, brochures, site hoardings—which aligned with the central proposition, “The shape of things to come”.

Outcome

The result is a cohesive, flexible brand that brings Oval Village to life, highlighting its history, architecture, and green spaces while positioning it as a forward-looking place to live, work, and visit.
